Excel Group was recognized
with a Silver Pyramid at the 1998 PPAI (Promotional Products Association
International) awards banquet. This award was in recognition for a Greater
Lafayette Chamber of Commerce trade show promotion. Using the theme "Race
for Success", Excel partnered with 4 other local businesses to create
an award winning campaign.
The
Greater Lafayette community has been the recipient of a variety of state
and local awards in recent years. Leading the list are the 1995 designation
of "All American City" and the 1999 "Great American Main Street Award".
In an effort to embrace
the feelings of our community, Excel
Group teamed with TV18/WLFI and Haan & Associates
to create and market the "Lafayette Proud" movement. "Our concept was
to try to show how so many of us feel about Greater Lafayette" says Greg
Tudor of Excel Group.
"The logo is bright, fun, and contemporary" stated Joyce Haan of Haan & Associates. "The star is a reference to the early days of Lafayette, when our community was known as the Star City of the Wabash". Indeed Lafayette does have a strong history and a bright future and Excel Group is LAFAYETTE PROUD.
From
July 4, 1999 to July 4, 2000 our community enjoyed numerous events
aimed at marketing the turn of the century/new millennium. As a proud supporter
of this community, Excel Group was selected as an official vendor

Excel Group is proud to support and serve a number of community organizations. Our involvement with United Way, Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Association of Advertising and Marketing Professionals, Family Services, Lafayette Business to Business, and Purdue Alumni Association are simply a handful of the groups we support. In December of 2002, Excel Group moved from Downtown Lafayette to our own building in Vintage Square (West Lafayette). We now enjoy additional office space, a larger showroom, bigger display areas, a second conference room, a basement for storage, and plenty of free parking.
