Our history: PC Specialties started in 1994 when the friend of a friend who owned a small business needed some help with a computer problem. She told a number of business associates about Joe, and since then our company has grown almost exclusively by referral. We attribute this primarily to the professional relationship we have built with each customer.
What we do: Through the years, we have provided a variety of services to both home users and small businesses in the Greater Lafayette area. These services include custom programming, PC set-up, trouble shooting, upgrading personal computers, software applications training, and facilities wiring. More recently, we have focused primarily on the small business owner in providing him/her with a professional assessment of current and future needs, procurement of equipment, hardware configuration, software installation and training, network design and set-up and, of course, maintenance of the system.
Who we are: Joe Poremski, President of PC Specialties, is our primary technology consultant. He graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a BS in Management and obtained a Technology Certificate from Ivy Tech State College in 1994. He has extensive experience with a variety of software, focusing primarily on Microsoft products.
Plans for the future: We will continue to provide exceptional service to our existing clients while exploring emerging technologies that will help enhance their business’ efficiency, thereby creating for them a greater competitive advantage.
